Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Marshall Medical Center's outpatient clinics plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Working closely with medical caregivers, the LVN ensures that patients receive timely, dignified, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow through the office, enabling physicians to provide optimal care.
• Assist providers within the LVN scope of practice, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Monitor patients for preventative care needs and provide nursing care according to MMC's standard of practice.
• Maintain good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience practicing as an LVN preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
• Must have injection skills, phlebotomy skills, EKG experience, and medication administration skills.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, patient/family health education, instrument sterilization techniques, and taking vital signs also required.
