Job Summary

The Access Services Representative 2 plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient registration and financial clearance processes. This position requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can effectively communicate with patients and families to obtain accurate demographic and insurance information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Registration: Conducts thorough patient interviews to obtain demographic and financial data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for registration and billing purposes.
  • Insurance Verification: Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and calculates patient liability due according to financial clearance policies.
  • Financial Clearance: Negotiates payment arrangements with patients and collects patient financial responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Cashiering and Revenue Cycle: Performs cashiering responsibilities, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures, to ensure accurate and timely revenue cycle operations.
  • Patient Support: Provides exceptional customer service, assisting patients with directions, personal escort, and medical mobility assistance as needed.
  • Training and Development: Conducts formal training and serves as a resource to others, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the department.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 2 Years of Experience in Healthcare or Customer Service
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
