Operations Supervisor Shift Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operations Supervisor Shift to join our team at Penske Logistics LLC. As a key member of our logistics operations team, you will be responsible for supervising drivers, ensuring customer requirements are met, and driving process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • People: Establish and sustain a high-performing team, provide coaching and counseling, and motivate associates to achieve excellence.
  • Operations: Supervise logistics operations, including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, and documentation control.
  • Finance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, manage associate working hours, and minimize overtime.
  • Safety: Ensure day-to-day management and associate activities align with the location safety strategy, provide safety training, and conduct safety observations.
  • Growth/Customer Experience: Understand customer goals and objectives, work to meet and exceed expectations, and determine areas for Continuous Improvement.
  • Fleet/Assets: Properly plan work assignments, ensure safe and efficient equipment operation, and work with vendors to maintain equipment.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to connect with associates and customers.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
