OVERVIEW:
The Territory Sales Leader is accountable for driving revenue and managing a team of field sales representatives to foster growth within a designated area.
This role involves formulating business and territory strategies, evaluating sales opportunities, ensuring exceptional customer service, and achieving sales targets both individually and through team leadership.
The Territory Sales Leader is tasked with recruiting, mentoring, and developing team members.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guides a team of field sales representatives to market and sell our products and services within a specified region.
Creates and executes an annual business strategy aimed at achieving sales quotas and expanding market presence, with regular updates on progress.
Develops a comprehensive territory plan and oversees the entire sales process from lead generation to closing.Manages prospecting strategies, sales forecasting, pipeline development, territory expansion, and finalizes deals within the assigned area.
Ensures outstanding customer service, including on-site technical support and problem resolution related to product delivery and troubleshooting.
Establishes and nurtures consultative sales relationships with key decision-makers in each account, engaging multiple levels within the client's organization.
Identifies and pursues new business opportunities and allocates accounts to suitable sales representatives.Responsible for conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and training team members.
Reviews financial performance monthly with the Operations Manager to ensure the branch meets established profitability targets.
Performs additional responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Persuasive communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation.
Strong interpersonal abilities.
Specialized product knowledge from prior outside or inside sales experience is essential.
Proficient in prospecting and employing effective consultative selling techniques.
Demonstrates a high level of motivation and commitment to achieving results.
Strong client relationship-building capabilities.
Negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to mentor and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to be on-call during evenings or weekends, as needed.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
Must possess an excellent driving record.
All company vehicles are subject to continuous video monitoring.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
0-5 Direct Reports, 5-10 Indirect Reports.
