Job Summary

As a Field Service Technician at Scantron, you will provide technical support to our customers, including installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of hardware, such as printers, servers, PCs, and office equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair computer hardware as per service agreements.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with technical support and other technicians as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure customer needs are met by providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and submit paperwork in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of relevant experience or training in a technical field.
  • A valid state driver's license to travel to customer sites.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively diagnose equipment issues and provide solutions.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a plus.
