Job Summary
As a Field Service Technician at Scantron, you will provide technical support to our customers, including installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of hardware, such as printers, servers, PCs, and office equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair computer hardware as per service agreements.
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with technical support and other technicians as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ensure customer needs are met by providing timely and effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and submit paperwork in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Two or more years of relevant experience or training in a technical field.
- A valid state driver's license to travel to customer sites.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively diagnose equipment issues and provide solutions.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- An associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school is preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a plus.
