Job Overview

Kids Above All is in search of a Clinical Counseling Supervisor.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Program Director, this role entails providing training, coaching, and oversight for the Counseling Solutions team. The Clinical Supervisor may also extend clinical services and support to clients from other Kids Above All programs as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support assigned Counseling Solutions personnel in their interactions with children, families, and relevant agencies.
  • Organize and lead weekly support meetings for staff.
  • Conduct monthly individual supervision sessions, offering guidance, coaching, and delegating tasks.
  • Facilitate weekly group supervision for interns.
  • Collaborate with the Training Director to develop and implement training programs.
  • Work with Managers and Directors from various internal programs to integrate clinical topics into their discussions.
  • Manage a limited caseload of 5-7 clients as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for case files and necessary documentation.
  • Supervise psychiatric and clinical subcontractors serving eligible clients.
  • Approve new client referrals into the program.
  • Participate in clinical staffing schedules.
  • Guide clinical staff in treatment planning.
  • Assist in conducting annual performance evaluations and implementing Performance Improvement Plans as needed.
  • Maintain required job-specific competencies, including trainings and certifications.
  • Engage in ongoing training and meet all agency and accrediting requirements.
  • Actively contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve bi-weekly payroll hours, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission of the department and agency.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with a clinical license.
  • A minimum of five years of experience, ideally with a similar client demographic, including 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • LCSW or LCPC licensure is required.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and bereavement therapeutic models is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and provide clear written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience with Medicaid billing and procedures is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment in the best interest of Kids Above All.

This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with some late evenings required. It is a hybrid role.
