Position Overview: Part-time Senior Program Coordinator – Special Recreation

The Village of Orland Park is seeking a skilled individual to fulfill the role of Part-time Senior Program Coordinator – Special Recreation. This position is essential for managing the coordination of social activities, excursions, and unique events within the division, including summer camp offerings.

  • Oversee and manage the adult day program
  • Design daily activities and conduct regular evaluations of the program
  • Create marketing and promotional materials
  • Supervise inclusion services and staff assignments
  • Plan, execute, and assess Special Recreation programs and events

Required Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the fields of Special Recreation or Special Education, including supervisory roles. First Aid/CPR certification and a CDL license must be obtained within 6 months. Strong communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in MS Office, are essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

This role includes eligibility for mandatory IMRF benefits.
