Job Opportunity

The Village of Orland Park Special Recreation Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Program Coordinator – Special Recreation. This position will oversee the coordination of all social programs, trips, and special events for individuals with special needs.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include coordinating and supervising the adult day program, including participant assessments, supervising program staff, planning daily activities, and evaluating the program on a routine basis.

This position also assists in producing marketing and promotional materials for the Special Recreation Division, oversees inclusion services, and plans, implements, and evaluates Special Recreation programs and assigned special events.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

High School Diploma and valid driver's license are required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. A minimum of two to five years of related experience in Special Recreation or Special Education field, with related supervisory experience, is required.

This position requires the acquisition of First Aid/CPR certification and class B or C CDL license with a Passenger endorsement and Department of Transportation (DOT) certification within six months of employment.
