Restaurant Manager Job Description

The Restaurant Manager at Arva at Aman New York by F&B 575 is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the department and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a strong leader who can maintain high standards of service, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Experience: Organize the greeting, seating, and exiting of guests with a professional demeanor.
  • Staff Management: Train, evaluate, and schedule restaurant staff to ensure optimal performance.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all areas of the restaurant to maintain high standards of service.
  • Guest Relations: Respond to guest inquiries and coordinate special arrangements.
  • Policies and Procedures: Enforce established guidelines and policies of the Company.
  • Menu and Promotions: Implement and communicate new menus and promotions.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and support for all F&B staff.
  • Communication: Communicate guest information and changes to hotel colleagues in a timely manner.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Develop monthly and weekly forecasts, monitor payroll, and complete daily reports.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5 years in a luxury hotel environment or similar role in restaurants or food and beverage.
  • Availability: Must have open availability and be able to work weekends.
  • Personality: Positive, engaging, and energetic personality.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and push/pull heavy objects.
