At Penn Medicine Valley Forge, we are seeking a per-diem Ultrasound Radiographer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Radiographer is responsible for performing ultrasound examinations, coordinating patient testing services, and supervising the maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate ultrasound units and ensure their proper maintenance
  • Prepare and maintain the cleanliness of ultrasound rooms
  • Interview and screen patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and understanding
  • Perform and coordinate patient testing services, ensuring the highest quality of care
  • Ensure the availability of equipment, supplies, and records for patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families through various means
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients to ensure seamless care
  • Assist in research projects as requested by the Division
  • Package and send genetic specimens as required
  • Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine values, policies, and procedures
Credentials and Education:

Amer Reg Diag Med Sonographer (ARDMS) certification is required, along with Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular (RVT) at time of hire. High School Diploma/GED and a graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School are also required. 1+ years' experience in Ultrasonography is preferred.
