Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Radiographer is responsible for performing all Ultrasound examinations, coordinating patient testing services, and supervising a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Ultrasound units and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Perform and coordinate patient testing services, ensuring accurate results and timely completion
  • Supervise and educate other healthcare professionals on the use of Ultrasound equipment and procedures
  • Assist in research projects and contribute to the development of new medical procedures
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices
Credentials and Education:

Amer Reg Diag Med Sonographer (ARDMS) certification is required, along with Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular (RVT) within 1 year of hire.

High School Diploma or equivalent required, with a graduate degree from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography school preferred.

1+ years of experience in Ultrasonography is required.
