Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity to join the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives as an Operations Support Specialist. The successful candidate will provide administrative and office support services to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the field office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the manager and resolve problems that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work in the field division.
  • Coordinate the work of the manager and resolve problems that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work in the field division.
  • Manage calendars for management, compose correspondence and recurring reports, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Perform a variety of administrative and office support services essential to the function and operation of the field office.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
  • Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. This experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in your resume.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.
