Insight Global is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead a 3-year renovation project at a federal facility in SE DC. The successful candidate will act as an owner's representative, overseeing the installation, commissioning, and design/specs review of MEP systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide staff support on governmental projects during any phase of design and/or construction.
- Oversee the validation of products and materials ordered for projects to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitor and assess construction performance, recording activities to ensure compliance with construction documentation requirements.
- Manage inspection work in progress to ensure methods, materials, and equipment conform to approved standards.
- Manage project Document Control, including review of Construction Inspectors' daily status reports and construction progress schedules.
- Ensure the utilization of shop drawing submittals process and incorporation of RFI's; conduct review of contractor change orders and make recommendations for changes.
- Coordinate with the General Contractor and ensure scheduling of all tests and inspections required by the Contract Documents or governmental authorities.
This role requires 8 years of experience on federal projects, a BS in Engineering or a related field, and experience leading a team of MEP specialists, estimators, and schedulers.
