Medical Scribe Assistant

Join Northwell Health | GoHealth Urgent Care as a Medical Scribe and play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with our healthcare providers to document patient information, ensuring accurate and timely medical records.
Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing medical charting for providers, assisting with fundamental clinical care, and maintaining accurate medical records. If you have a passion for healthcare and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:- Transcribe medical charting for providers
- Assist with Point of Care (POC) testing, intake of vitals, and other procedures
- Coordinate patient triage and overall workflow
- Maintain accurate medical records, lab results, and imaging reports in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Manage faxing and referral process
- Previous use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- Ability to type 60+ words per minute
- EMT or Medical School students preferred but not required
- Medical Scribe experience
- Medical Assistant experience
- Experience in an Urgent Care environment
