Lead Transplant RN Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Transplant Coordinator (RN) to join our team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our Lung Transplant Clinic, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities- Collect and interpret clinical data to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of patients and their families, utilizing critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with the transplant team to coordinate patient care, including developing patient calendars and facilitating testing and admission processes.
- Mentor and educate staff on transplant regulatory policies and procedures.
- Advocate for patients' medical and legal rights, promoting informed consent and ensuring adherence to evidence-based medicine and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or medical field required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Three to four years of medical/surgical or intensive care experience required; nine years of clinical transplant experience preferred.
