We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Transplant Coordinator RN to join our Transplant Team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth coordination of transplant services.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and interpret clinical data to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Anticipate and address patient and family needs, utilizing a systematic and continuous process to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain and utilize competencies per unit expectations, synthesizing data and patient information relevant to organ-specific transplantation.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize and coordinate nursing care, identifying and implementing appropriate interventions based on assessment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and transplant team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of planned strategies and revise the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Texas RN (or BNE Compact State) license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required.
- 3-4 years of Medical/Surgical or Intensive Care experience.
