Position Overview

The Corporate Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence of engineering projects within the organization. This position requires a blend of technical acumen and project management skills to drive initiatives that enhance facility performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance in the management of engineering projects and maintenance operations across all company sites.
  • Support the strategic planning, development, and execution of capital investment projects and facility enhancements.
  • Compile detailed lists of required materials and equipment, generate procurement orders, and perform financial analyses, including estimating production expenses and potential savings.
  • Oversee the deployment and integration of new projects across multiple company locations.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial allocations.
  • Revitalize underperforming projects to achieve targeted results.
  • Coordinate the technical and managerial elements of projects, collaborating closely with contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Incorporate safety standards, including personnel safety, food safety, and compliance with regulations, throughout all project stages.
  • Conduct audits following installation, reconcile financial outcomes, and document insights for ongoing improvement in future initiatives.
  • Regularly initiate design enhancements to improve machinery efficiency, lower costs, and broaden the functionality of existing equipment.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training for management and staff on new machinery and updated operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in engineering or a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Proficient in CAD and other essential engineering software applications.
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 20% of the time.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and industry benchmarks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing or production context.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale capital projects.
  • Strong analytical abilities to conduct thorough cost-benefit evaluations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various departments.
