About the Position:

This is a challenging and rewarding role within the Yavapai County Assessor's Office, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of property assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update databases for exemptions, organizational, split, and combination properties.
  • Process and enter data for real property assessments, business personal property accounts, and manufactured housing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from the public and other stakeholders.
  • Audit income statements and ensure compliance with state statutes.
  • Utilize GIS ArcView to work with legal descriptions and provide maps, variances, and ownership reports.
  • Determine the location of improvements on split parcels and compute acreage and lot dimensions.
  • Audit accounting of business personal property schedules and assessments.
  • Track manufactured housing county-wide and maintain permit databases.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of general office experience.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license.
  • Department of Revenue Provisional training.
Preferred Skills:
  • Business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition.
  • Clerical office practices and procedures.
  • Research techniques and report writing.
  • Microsoft Office software.
  • Filing and recordkeeping.
Working Conditions:

This role is based in an office environment with adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation. The successful candidate will be able to sit or stand for extended periods, have sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and possess good hearing and speech abilities.
