Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to the public, both in-person and over the phone, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Document Processing: Process a variety of court-related documents, including filings, receipts, and other paperwork, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Administrative Support: Perform data entry, photocopying, filing, and other administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the court.
- Financial Transactions: Assist with receipting, bookkeeping, collections, and other financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with county policies.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with court staff, attorneys, and the public, both verbally and in writing, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of general clerical experience, preferably in a court or legal setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn court-specific systems and procedures.
The work environment is associated with an office setting, with adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation. The physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
