Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Support the preparation of financial statement reports, statutory financial statements, and other necessary reports, including quarterly and annual reports, earnings release materials, and monthly cash flow statements.
  • Footnote Support: Prepare and coordinate the company's footnote support for financial statements.
  • Balance Sheet and Income Statement Review: Review and explain balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
  • External Auditor Support: Provide assistance to external auditors.
  • U.S. GAAP and IFRS Research: Support and research U.S. GAAP and IFRS technical accounting guidance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Benchmark and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Lease Management: Manage lease software system by maintaining up-to-date lease information and accounting for active leases.
  • General Ledger Reconciliations: Prepare or review monthly general ledger reconciliations for leases, debt, and equity.
  • Department of Transportation Reports: Prepare and file monthly and quarterly Department of Transportation reports.
  • Accounting Policy Development: Participate in the development and interpretation of company accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Experience: Five years of experience, including three years in public accounting.
  • CPA Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred, with Big 4 experience a plus.
  • Technical Accounting Skills: Exceptional technical accounting base and analytical ability.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills in general and specifically with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Special Demands
  • Technical Accounting Experience: Technical accounting and financial reporting experience a plus.
  • Financial Reporting Software: Financial reporting software and lease software experience a plus.
  • IFRS Experience: IFRS experience a plus.
  • Airline Industry Experience: Airline industry experience a plus.
Skills
  • PC Skills: Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word).
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and multitasking.

Salary Range

$85,500 - $115,500

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors, including location, relevant experience/level, and skillset.
