Advanced Practice Provider- Neurology Inpatient Physicians

Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neurology Inpatient Physicians team at South Lake Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
About the Role:
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing diagnoses, and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. You will also perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribe medication, and participate in quality initiatives to ensure consistent attainment of key quality indicators.
Responsibilities:
• Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies
• Develop diagnoses and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to formulate and implement treatment plans
• Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed
• Diagnose medical and surgical problems and prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care
• Implement appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, admission, and discharge care in accordance with evidence-based medicine
• Identify, analyze, and resolve patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care and outcomes
• Dictate and document in an accurate and timely manner
• Perform patient education and maintain provision of preventive health services
• Conduct or participate in multidisciplinary rounds
• Participate in the department on call rotation and/or weekend/holiday rounding as required
• Prescribe medication
• Participate in quality initiatives to ensure consistent attainment of key quality indicators
Qualifications:
• Education/Training: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Licensure/Certification: APRN license in the state of Florida or physician assistant licensure in the state of Florida
• Experience: None required
