Position Overview:
At Nightwing, we are dedicated to supporting our nation's defense through innovative engineering solutions. Our team leverages over a century of expertise to tackle significant challenges, ensuring a safer and more secure world.
The Chief Engineering Lead for the F/A-18 program will play a pivotal role in overseeing the production of advanced radar systems. This position requires a seasoned professional who will collaborate closely with program management to maintain the technical integrity of our engineering deliverables while adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse team of engineers across various disciplines, focusing on production and maintenance strategies.
- Establish and monitor production goals, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and effective conflict resolution.
- Oversee staffing needs and engage with engineering leadership to ensure resource allocation meets program demands.
- Utilize extensive technical knowledge to address complex integration challenges and enhance radar capabilities.
- Drive the production and acceptance testing phases, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
- Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement, mentorship, and adherence to company values.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in the production and testing of radar systems.
- Demonstrated experience in RF sensor development and presenting technical information to stakeholders.
- Possession of an active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with airborne radar systems and resource planning.
- A Master's degree in a related technical field.
