Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Receiving Supervisor to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt and processing of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the receiving and processing of merchandise, including verifying inventory against purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management, including maintaining accurate records and conducting regular audits.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve receiving and inventory operations, including streamlining workflows and reducing errors.
  • Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
  • Provide training and guidance to receiving and inventory staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, including adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in receiving and inventory management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
