REPORTS TO: LMS Administrator

JOB GOAL:

The Educational Technology Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance, support, and training for academic technology systems at PA Cyber, including the Learning Management System (LMS), live instructional platforms, and file sharing systems. This role involves the development and continuous upkeep of all training materials and resources necessary for the effective use of these academic technologies. Additionally, the consultant will conduct training sessions for new educators and staff, while also addressing daily inquiries from teachers and staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• An Associate's Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a related field.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.

• Knowledge of software configurations and problem-solving techniques necessary for diagnosing and resolving web technology issues.

• Required clearances: Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the academic technology systems utilized within the department, including the LMS, live instructional platforms, and file sharing systems.

• Provide training, support, and resources to staff and students regarding the LMS, live instructional platforms, and file sharing systems.

• Coordinate, develop, and deliver training sessions for both new and existing educators and staff on academic technology systems.

• Assist in managing all training resources and documentation related to academic technology systems.

• Create and manage resources to address system updates and fixes.

• Participate in testing and implementation of new software releases and upgrades.

• Understand the instructional modes used at PA Cyber and how these are delivered through the LMS and live instructional platforms.

• Assist with the preparation for the new school year within the LMS and live instructional platforms as required.

• Utilize the ticket tracking system to document incidents, inquiries, and requests from educators and staff.

• Uphold confidentiality and integrity regarding all system data and sensitive situations.

• Assist in setting up supplemental courses, groups, and sessions within the academic technology systems.

• Collaborate with the technology department and SIS Administrator to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Work closely with the curriculum team on course setup and settings.

• Communicate with LMS vendors as necessary to troubleshoot issues.

• Provide clear and effective communication in response to inquiries from educators and staff.

• Engage with administration and school leadership as needed.

• Participate in departmental meetings as requested.

• Collaborate closely with the LMS Administrator to address departmental needs.

• Manage projects as assigned by the DCAO or LMS Administrator.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the DCAO or LMS Administrator.
