Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Global Fastening Tooling and Standards: Develop and implement global fastening tooling standards to support future programs, campaign prevention, and reaction plans for our manufacturing facilities.
  • Program-Specific Fastening Project Management: Lead program-specific fastening projects and strategies during the development phase of the program through sourcing and purchase order issuance.
  • Collaboration with NA Final Assembly Manufacturing Plants: Work directly with NA Final Assembly Manufacturing plants to execute overall fastening strategies and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Fastening Tooling Standards Development and Maintenance: Define, maintain, and update fastening tooling standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across our manufacturing operations.
  • Program Costing and Alignment: Assist in the development of and ensure full alignment on program costing to ensure accurate and efficient resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 Years of Direct Experience in Manufacturing: Minimum 2 years of direct experience in manufacturing, preferably across multiple skill teams.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Fastening Foundation and Problem-Solving Abilities: A strong fastening foundation, with the ability to learn and teach, and strong problem-solving abilities to drive cost studies and implement solutions.
  • Ability to Travel and Interface with NA Manufacturing Plants: Ability to travel and interface with NA manufacturing plants to ensure successful implementation of fastening strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Projects: Ability to manage multiple projects at once with great attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and Experience with Fastening Equipment: Knowledge and experience with fastening equipment, assembly equipment, or joint design strategy.
  • Experience with Tooling Suppliers: Experience working with tooling suppliers, such as Atlas Copco, Stanley, Ingersoll Rand, Estic, etc.
  • Experience with Cradle-to-Grave Tooling Development: Experience implementing or auditing manufacturing requirements, standards, and procedures.
