Job Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling Specialist at Zobility, you will be responsible for executing the Vendor Tooling Procurement Process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of tooling to support vehicle programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop tool sourcing strategies, coordinate GPDS Part Pedigree Deliverables, and ensure production tool timing and plans meet homeline delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement tool sourcing strategies in conjunction with Purchasing to ensure successful implementation
* Coordinate GPDS Part Pedigree Deliverables for all build events to ensure timely delivery of tooling
* Ensure production tool timing and plans meet homeline delivery requirements to support TT requirements
* Develop analytical tools and strategies to deliver BIC tool performance and timing, including Shop Performance Analytics, Benchmarking, and Market Intelligence
* Collaborate with Vendor Tooling Purchasing Buyer to deliver efficient tooling solutions
* Serve as single point of contact for technical issues with suppliers and engineering on global vehicle programs
* Resolve emerging issues by engaging engineering, program, STA, purchasing, CE, part suppliers, and tool suppliers to drive GPDS timing deliverables with required pedigree parts

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in tool-related fields, including tool construction, assembly integration, manufacturing feasibility, and cost estimating
* Strong technical competency and ability to work with others to foster collaboration
* High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to manage multiple critical assignments with resilience
* Experience in cross-functional roles, with strong grasp of GPDS and impeccable communication skills
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive results

Preferred Qualifications:

* Tool making (construction/design) experience at tool shop level or Tier 1
* Experience in costing/estimating tools at tool shop level or Tier 1
* Launch or production experience on tools
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with HS Diploma or GED required
