Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join our team at Insight Global. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both the front-end and back-end components of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks like React.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features.
  • Manage databases using SQL (Postgres, DB2) and ensure code quality through test-driven development (TDD) practices.
  • Utilize tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Monitor application performance and security, and visualize data using tools like Grafana and Splunk.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience in Java (Spring Boot).
  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience in one or more JavaScript/TypeScript browser-based front-end frameworks, preferably React.
  • 3+ years of SQL experience (Postgres, DB2).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software delivery toolchains including Git/GitHub, Gradle, Terraform, Jenkins, Cloud Build, Nexus/Frog Artifactory, Checkmarx, SonarQube, FOSSA.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and visualization tools including Grafana, Splunk, Cloud Logging.
  • Understanding of Credit Card business operations and/or the automotive financial services business context.
  • Experience with information security practices and policies.
  • 3+ years of test-driven development (TDD) experience using JUnit/TestNG.
  • Experience in Agile development practices including pairing/mobbing, CI/CD, feature flagging, A/B testing, blue-green deployment.
