Lead Financial Analyst

Cramer Fish Sciences (CFS) is currently in search of a dedicated Senior Accountant to deliver critical financial support in collaboration with the Controller. This role will be pivotal in managing the month-end closing process, overseeing fixed asset management, and supervising accounts receivable and payable. The successful candidate will also handle client project administration, including budget management, general ledger maintenance, and providing assistance to project managers and staff throughout the organization.
This position entails the preparation of the company's monthly financial statements and associated reports, along with assisting in the administration of the company's ERP system (Salesforce/PSA/FF). Experience in government contracting is advantageous.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
- A master's or bachelor's degree in accounting is required, along with experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger management. Degrees in finance or business may be considered with relevant experience in GAAP accounting.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including proficiency in formulas, functions for data management, manipulation, pivoting, and presentation formatting, are essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures compliance with GAAP standards for all financial transactions.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures regarding revenue and expenses, implementing best practices for accounting controls.
- Oversees daily transactions related to accounts receivable and payable.
- Conducts month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and other necessary tasks for accurate monthly financial reporting, with support from the Controller.
- Maintains accuracy and completeness of general ledger entries and balances.
- Manages financial subledgers and supporting documentation.
- Oversees cash management, tracking bank and credit card balances, ensuring sufficient cash availability in coordination with the Controller.
- Provides support to project managers on proposals, budgets, and project-related tasks.
- Conducts ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
- Enters and verifies budget data in PSA/FF.
- Assists with deliverables for annual financial reviews/audits in collaboration with an external CPA firm.
- Manages the company's fixed asset transactions, records, and depreciation schedules.
- Handles all property tax, sales and use tax, B&O tax, business licenses, and other tax-related matters for all locations.
- Manages GSA modifications and quarterly reporting requirements, maintaining the Federal Supply Schedule.
- Maintains necessary reports and updates for GSA and Federal Grants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. The compensation package includes a 3% match with full vesting after one year, along with an annual cash bonus target of 3%. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, paid time off, company holidays, and various voluntary benefits.
ESOP: CFS is a 100% employee-owned company. Our employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) is a qualified defined contribution plan, with a target contribution of 5%. Eligibility for the ESOP begins after one year of service, with entry dates on January 1 or July 1.
