We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled individual to fill the role of Patient Care Coordinator within our surgical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist patients, manage appointment scheduling, and maintain accurate records.
  • Safeguard patient rights by ensuring confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Support operational efficiency by adhering to established policies and procedures and reporting necessary changes.
  • Verify insurance details and manage patient accounts by collecting, recording, and updating personal and financial information during each visit.
  • Provide information regarding outstanding patient balances and facilitate the collection of due payments.
  • Collect co-payments and issue patient receipts.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of clinic procedures and address general inquiries related to them.
  • Utilize effective customer service skills and proactive communication when interacting with patients.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Assist patients in distress by responding to emergencies appropriately.
  • Maintain a welcoming patient waiting area.
  • Oversee office inventory and equipment by monitoring stock levels, anticipating supply needs, placing orders, verifying receipt, and scheduling service and repairs.
  • Embody CPIhealth values in every interaction: Patient-Centered, nurturing, teamwork, integrity, and innovation.
  • Provide clear explanations of relevant patient-related policies while ensuring the safety and dignity of patients.
  • Keep patient appointments on track by notifying providers and support staff of patient arrivals, reviewing service delivery against the schedule, and alerting providers of any delays.
  • Assist patients who may be ill or distressed, including arranging transportation when necessary.
  • Ensure all visitors and vendors sign in and display appropriate identification.
  • Handle incoming cash, checks, and credit card receipts until balanced and deposited by the designated manager.
  • When necessary, open and sort office mail; deliver outgoing mail as required.
  • Scan paper records into the appropriate patient charts in the electronic health record system.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a front desk role within a medical environment.
  • Consistent work history.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the healthcare setting is advantageous.
  • Understanding of insurance processes is a plus.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Capacity to multitask, solve problems, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate well with others.
  • Flexibility, punctuality, and a commitment to being a team player.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Dress Code: Scrubs

Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, with occasional Fridays as needed.
