Job Summary

As a Pricing and Margin Analyst at Sysco, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability by analyzing customer pricing, markets, and national contracts. You will oversee the setup and maintenance of all Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) and Local contract bids and order guides, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Pricing Strategies: Create and implement pricing strategies at the item level, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Analyze Market Trends: Analyze market trends and customer behavior to identify opportunities for margin growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with purchasing and sales departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Review and Analyze Data: Review and analyze margin reports daily at customer and item level to ensure accurate adjusted gross profit.
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Identify opportunities for margin enhancement and recommend price changes to customer bids and market and national costs.
  • Ensure Compliance: Review all bids for correct pricing, suitability, adjusted gross profit, and case movement.
  • Support Business Growth: Assist in developing queries and reports to support business growth and profitability.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of pricing or similar experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills.
Decision Making Authority
  • Setting Cost Basis: Set and submit cost basis for CMU and Local contract business.
  • Directing Pricing Coordinators: Direct pricing coordinators on bid setup and communication with buyers and sales.
  • Review and Approval: Review and approve bids and price changes with VP.
