Cultivates and sustains positive relationships with key accounts that provide significant value. Analyzes local meal markets to maintain competitive pricing against higher protein alternatives. Engages in price discovery and offer management to bolster risk management strategies. Maintains a thorough understanding of current plant operations and inventory management. Develops insights into freight spreads and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Identifies and capitalizes on arbitrage opportunities in the market. Makes informed decisions swiftly in a dynamic market environment, taking responsibility for those decisions. Manages all accounting-related matters promptly to ensure exceptional customer service. Stays informed about local, national, and global market trends. Proactively communicates market information through outbound calls. Aligns personal objectives with organizational goals. Pursues continuous personal and professional development within the company. Fosters collaborative relationships with colleagues across various divisions. Utilizes effective communication channels for coordination across offices. Represents the company positively in all interactions with clients and colleagues. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in Animal Agriculture Sales or Merchandising. Bachelor's degree in agriculture or business is required. Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of domestic trade practices. Knowledge of freight spreads and arbitrage mechanisms. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with end-users and suppliers. Demonstrated capability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases. Commitment to corporate ethics and safety standards.
