About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Amerita, a leading provider of Specialty Infusion services. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in implementing individualized nutritional care plans for patients and developing patient nutrition education materials.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the clinical management of current and potential nutrition patients as part of the Nutrition Support Team.
  • Work with the Sales team to visit customers, market the nutrition program, and focus efforts on key nutritional business lines to drive profitability.
  • Collaborate with branch, pharmacy, clinical, and sales personnel to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist regional sales management staff in developing and executing plans to grow nutrition business through specific strategies, goals, and pertinent account information.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor enteral and parenteral therapies to counteract the patient's compromised nutritional status.
  • Review patient medical history, anthropometrics, and pertinent lab values to assess home nutrition support protocols and make recommendations for nutrition intervention when necessary.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy and assess patients' understanding of and compliance with prescribed diet principles.
  • Work alongside the General Manager in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program and ACHC Accreditation.
  • Perform in-service education for referral sources, physicians, and nursing agencies, providing instruction on clinical topics related to disease state management, improvement of patient outcome, and reimbursement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian with a license to practice in assigned state(s); Certified Nutrition Support Clinician preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Must meet company standards for driving record as well as driver age requirement.
