About the Position

The Riverside County Office on Aging is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our Nutrition and Community Engagement division, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing programs that promote healthy eating and nutrition education for older adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs for older adults, including workshops, classes, and one-on-one counseling sessions.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and provide personalized nutrition plans for program participants.
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote healthy eating and nutrition education in underserved communities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local food vendors and suppliers to ensure access to healthy food options for program participants.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to program staff on nutrition-related topics.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and best practices in nutrition education and healthy eating.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in nutrition education and program development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking skills.
  • Experience working with older adults and underserved communities.
  • Knowledge of nutrition education principles and practices.
  • Experience with program development and evaluation.
