About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Riverside Community Hospital. As an inpatient Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing nutritional care to patients on our general medicine, ICU, and other units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nutritional care to patients, including assessing nutritional needs, developing personalized meal plans, and educating patients and their families on healthy eating habits.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays, to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Precept dietetic interns and educate healthcare team members on nutrition-related topics.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nutrition or related field, with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
