Key Responsibilities:

  • Check patients in and out of appointments, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and guests, providing clear and concise information related to their visit.
  • Complete check-in/out functions, including confirming patient identification and demographic/insurance information.
  • Process patient registration, obtain consents/authorizations, and collect co-payments and past due balances.
  • Post payments, process billing information, and perform end-of-day cash drawer closing.
  • Maintain a clean and comfortable waiting area, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Schedule appointments as necessary and inform patients of any delays or changes in appointment status.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Zero to two years of experience in a customer service position.
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, previous experience in a healthcare setting, working knowledge of medical terminology, and bilingual skills.
