Technical Sales Specialist

Join our team as a Technical Sales Consultant for the Snow & Ice Industry, where you will be responsible for selling and promoting the industry's most advanced hydraulic and electronic spreader control systems for the North America snow and ice market.
About the Role:This is a remote position supporting New York and Pennsylvania, where you will work independently with minimal supervision to develop and implement regional sales plans consistent with the strategic plan for the Business Unit.
You will be responsible for expanding and developing a strong dealer network in the territory, maintaining and directly supporting an active network of dealers, as well as working directly with end users in the specification of Compu-Spread electronic and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional sales plans consistent with the strategic plan for the Business Unit
- Expand and develop a strong dealer network in the territory
- Maintain and directly support an active network of dealers
- Work directly with end users in the specification of Compu-Spread electronic and hydraulic systems
- Conduct training courses for end users and dealers
- Identify major end user sales potential and strategic dealer development opportunities
- Conduct service calls to support dealer service personnel
- Conduct outgoing calls and visits in the development and expansion of territory market share
- Measure results on a monthly basis and make recommendations for future activity to enhance sales and margin performance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the selling and specification of electronic and/or hydraulic systems
- Strong working knowledge of heavy trucks, and/or mobile hydraulic equipment
- Good mechanical aptitude, ability to work with service personnel in trouble shooting system problems
- Completed Fluid Power Technology (or equivalent) and Electrical/Electronic Technology (or equivalent) Diploma and Degree
- Must complete and pass CPSA Professional Selling Training program within 8 months of start date
- Effective consultative selling, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- SAP Knowledge or experience an asset
- High customer service orientation
