Job Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior-level executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Northwest Regional Primary Care Association (NWRPCA). This key role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is a critical member of the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior staff to develop and implement corporate compliance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation of new programs, initiatives, and programmatic directions.
  • Compile and analyze program-related data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Supervise the implementation of personnel policies and recommend changes as needed.
  • Make recommendations to the CEO on hiring and dismissal of staff, including compensation and position descriptions.
  • Participate in developing organizational policy and procedures as a member of the NWRPCA management team.
  • Manage and maintain IT equipment and relationships with vendors.
  • Secure insurance contracts annually for the organization and employees.
  • Represent NWRPCA at public and private meetings, conferences, and other forums.
  • Provide necessary staff support to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Board Committees as assigned.
Requirements
  • BA, with MA preferred, and related experience in business, health services, or public health administration.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least five years of relevant management and community health experience.
  • Extensive experience dealing with community-based organizations.
  • Experience leading and empowering staff, as well as building consensus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT systems and tools.
  • Ability to work as a team member and work effectively with diverse people.
  • Ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in senior-level management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Work Environment

The COO will work in a hybrid remote environment in Seattle, WA, with occasional travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to relocate to the Seattle area before starting work.
