Position SummaryThe Chief Sanitation Officer is tasked with overseeing the cleanliness and sanitation of all culinary environments, including food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment. This role collaborates with sanitation and culinary leadership to meet health, safety, and third-party audit standards. Consistent attendance and availability for evening and weekend events are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen facilities, including walk-in coolers, floors, walls, kitchen equipment, and dining ware.
- Manage the proper storage and rotation of food products.
- Ensure the timely removal of waste and recyclables from kitchen areas, depositing them in designated disposal locations.
- Supervise the cleaning of concession equipment, ensuring all items are reassembled and functional post-cleaning.
- Guarantee that all concession areas are clean and sanitized prior to each event.
- Provide training and guidance on sanitation protocols, appropriate chemical usage, and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sanitation regulations and standards.
- Effective communication skills with employees, management, and guests, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Physical ability to reach, lift, bend, and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
- Punctuality and readiness to fulfill all job responsibilities.
