Role Overview
  • Position: Corporate Counsel, Sales and Operations
  • Summary: The Legal department is seeking an attorney with substantial experience in finance and commercial sales to support our expanding B2B operations. This role involves close collaboration with the North America and LATAM trading card sales, finance, tax, and procurement teams to structure commercial agreements and lead strategic negotiations. Additionally, the individual will provide legal guidance to the Procurement and Facilities teams on matters related to internal operations and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary legal advisor for the North American and Latin American trading card sales teams, leading negotiations with resellers, retailers, and promotional partners across the Americas.
  • Offer transactional guidance to the finance group, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, and royalty accounting.
  • Draft, structure, and negotiate various commercial sales and procurement agreements, including service agreements and reseller contracts.
  • Advise on commercial matters affecting the B2B supply chain, such as manufacturing, shipping, warehousing, and trade compliance.
  • Provide advisory and transactional support for facilities and operational infrastructure, including sourcing service providers and procurement.
  • Collaborate with legal team members in a matrixed environment to deliver comprehensive advice to client teams.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of contract templates, policies, and playbooks.
Qualifications
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of relevant professional experience.
  • J.D. or equivalent degree with a valid bar license to practice law in Washington State.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience advising clients on commercial transactions, particularly in sales, finance, and operations.
  • Exceptional skills in drafting, negotiation, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal relations.
  • Knowledge of US competition law, intellectual property, finance, tax, trade, anti-bribery, and competition law.
  • Proven ability to innovate processes to enhance operational efficiency and clarity between client teams and legal.
  • Experience supporting the growth of a business in terms of geography and volume.
  • Experience with multinational corporations and a strong ability to facilitate cross-cultural communication.
  • In-house legal team experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is preferred.
