About the Job
Prospect Rock Partners is seeking a highly skilled Investment Banking M&A Tech Analyst 2/3 to join its team in New York City. As a key member of our investment banking team, you will be responsible for analyzing companies, transaction structures, and deal activity, as well as managing the day-to-day execution tasks of each transaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of companies, transaction structures, and deal activity to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Manage the due diligence process, including buyer/investor interaction and request tracking.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze company valuation and financial performance.
- Research and analyze industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory environments to inform investment decisions.
- Prepare and present findings to senior bankers and clients, including creation of materials for Board meetings and client presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in investment banking with a strong background in M&A, private placements, and/or equity capital markets.
- Experience in blockchain, crypto, and digital infrastructure investment banking is highly preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Economics), Technical Sciences (Engineering, Physics), or Liberal Arts with a strong academic record.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong quantitative and technical skills.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other industry resources such as FactSet and Pitchbook.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to senior bankers and clients.
