At ManTech, we're seeking a highly skilled Security Controls Engineer to join our team of cybersecurity experts. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in protecting our nation's security while working on innovative projects that drive growth and advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and engineer security controls to ensure compliance with NIST, DoD, and Federal Agency publications.
  • Collaborate with security teams to identify and implement security controls to harden systems and reduce attack surfaces.
  • Design and build secure systems for agency customers, applying cyber engineering skills to meet customer operational security objectives.
  • Develop and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages, providing design considerations, trade-offs, and solutions as required.
  • Supervise and mentor subordinate project and staff, ensuring the integration of secure practices and compliance needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or relevant field.
  • DoD IAT Level III Certification.
  • 5 years of position-specific relevant experience, including experience with ACAS vulnerability scans, SCAP scans, and STIG checklists.
  • Knowledge of RMF development and demonstrated ability to validate the implementation of security controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity or relevant field.
  • IAM III qualifying certifications such as CISSP or CCSP.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
