Position Overview:

The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a pivotal role in facilitating the acquisition of Authority to Operate (ATO) for AI-driven software solutions within controlled environments. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing software systems that execute extensive cyber data analytics across diverse technological platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) products and navigate system accreditations to ensure effective RMF application.
  • Utilize expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to enhance cybersecurity measures.
  • Employ programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ to contribute to software development efforts.
  • Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Information System Security Managers (ISSM) to review critical documentation, including systems security plans (SSPs) and risk assessment reports.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in cyber domains, focusing on vulnerability management, assessment, and compliance with security controls.
  • Engage with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) in the Assess and Authorization (A&A) process, ensuring adherence to RMF protocols.
  • Review and analyze policy documents and create compelling evidence for NIST Security Controls and Assessment Procedures.
  • Independently develop RMF A&A documentation and artifacts necessary for obtaining RMF Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Maintain a TS/SCI clearance to access classified information.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Background as a System or Network Administrator.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating environments.
  • Knowledge in database development and management.
  • Ability to analyze technical and policy documentation for DoD organizations and develop training materials compliant with DoD or DON RMF processes.
  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Possession of a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
  • Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification.
  • Certifications in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), CISM, CCISO, CISSP, GIAC, GSLC, or CASP+.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information, requiring a TS/SCI clearance.

The salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range is between $67,700.00 and $154,000.00 annually.

Our culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. Depending on the position, you may work from a Booz Allen or client site facility as needed.
