Position Overview:

The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the security posture of our AI-driven software solutions. This position involves collaborating with teams to secure Authorization to Operate (ATO) within IL 4-6 level environments. The engineer will design, develop, and implement software solutions that enable extensive cyber data analytics across diverse technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to develop and support system accreditations, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance protocols.
  • Leverage cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Azure, to enhance security measures.
  • Employ programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ to contribute to software development efforts.
  • Engage with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Information System Security Managers (ISSM) to review critical documentation, including systems security plans (SSPs) and risk assessment reports.
  • Provide expert guidance in the cyber domain, focusing on vulnerability management, assessment, and compliance with security controls.
  • Navigate the DoD and Department of the Navy (DON) Assess and Authorization (A&A) process, ensuring adherence to RMF across all levels.
  • Analyze and draft policy documents, evidence materials, and test results for NIST Security Controls and Assessment Procedures.
  • Independently develop RMF A&A documentation and artifacts necessary for obtaining RMF Authority to Operate (ATO).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing RMF products and supporting DoD cybersecurity processes.
  • Proficiency in AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Strong understanding of security documentation and compliance processes.
  • TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in configuration management for security software and hardware.
  • Background as a System or Network Administrator.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating environments.
  • Experience in database development and technical documentation analysis.
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity or IT is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or GRC-related certifications are preferred.
