About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a fully on-site, part-time Entrance Desk Attendant at the Multnomah Athletic Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our members, guests, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to every member, guest, and employee, ensuring each interaction is courteous and respectful.
  • Enforce guest policies as outlined in the Club Rules and educate members on these policies.
  • Manage access to the club using established procedures for members, guests, and employees, monitoring entrances and exits and notifying the Manager on Duty of any unapproved entries.
  • Assist members with signing in social and athletic guests, applying appropriate fees when necessary, and provide directions for meetings and events within the club.
  • Contact the appropriate department or staff member to assist members and guests with needs such as handcarts, wheelchairs, or taxi services.
  • Use the overhead paging system according to club policy and perform key communication functions during medical, fire, and other emergencies.
  • Issue overnight parking passes and validate parking passes as needed.
  • Follow all club safety policies and procedures, identify and report unsafe conditions, and report workplace injuries and illnesses to a supervisor.
Requirements
  • Interact courteously and effectively with a diverse range of people, providing excellent and engaging customer service.
  • Diplomatic and effective communication with members, guests, and employees.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read, learn, and retain a significant amount of information, including procedures, clubhouse floor plans, Club Rules, daily schedules, names, and telephone extensions.
  • Quick and competent response to emergency situations.
