Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Supervisor to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Interventional Radiology team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain weekly staff work schedules for technologists, prioritizing IR procedures and assigning work to appropriate subordinate staff members.
  • Administer annual performance evaluations for staff members, preparing and administering necessary paperwork to address progressive coaching situations.
  • Coordinate IR team's workload with radiologists, other sections of Radiology, and departments outside of Radiology to ensure effective utilization of personnel and equipment.
  • Develop work schedules of direct reports, interview new candidates for IR technologist positions, and perform monthly one-on-one sessions with IR technologists to discuss daily activities and identify potential problem issues.
  • Review image quality of IR technologists, provide coaching on how to improve image quality, and use Epic to input patient examination data and place patient orders when appropriate.
  • Oversee the maintenance of department inventory, direct staff to order, stock, and perform inventory checks on medical supplies, and maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and personal dignity by following appropriate patient care guidelines and meet with Imaging Manager and/or Administrative Director of Radiology to assess potential budget variances.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree Required
  • 1-3 years professional work experience in the role as a radiologic and/or IR technologist Required
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
  • RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
