Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in interventional procedures and providing diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and record isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental guidelines.
  • Assist in observing patients during procedures, provide set-up & takedown of procedure rooms with necessary supplies, and retrieve anything requested by physicians during procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment available in IR procedure rooms and adjust based on real-time instructions from physicians.
  • Retrieve necessary medical supplies for each procedure.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media for patient examinations according to radiologists' direction.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and personal dignity by following appropriate patient care guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly working environment through wiping down examination tables, changing linens, stocking supplies, and washing/disinfecting IR equipment.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiography from an accredited program.
  • Current certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience in radiography and a minimum of 6 months of experience working in a procedural-based department.
