Key Responsibilities:


Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, including assisting with report preparation, reviewing analyses, and overseeing fieldwork procedures.

Collaborating with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
Managing projects from inception to completion, including proposal preparation.
Overseeing field and laboratory activities for Geotechnical investigations across various structures.
Cultivating existing client relationships while developing new ones and exploring business opportunities.
Assisting with workload management and resource allocation.
Identifying potential growth opportunities in projects and markets.
Handling project administration, including maintaining project backlog, budgets, change orders, invoicing, and accounts receivable.
Developing cost proposals and contributing to marketing materials.
Engaging in professional societies and industry groups.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnical studies.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or the ability to obtain it within one year.
A solid understanding of geotechnical principles related to various civil engineering fields, including transportation, structural, and water resources.
A proactive approach to adapting schedules to meet project deadlines and client needs.
Proven skills in project and client management.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Experience with geotechnical markets in multiple office settings.
Willingness to engage with the engineering community through presentations and participation in professional groups.
Experience in fostering collaborative relationships across different offices.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
