About the Role of the Administrative Support Specialist

  • The working hours are typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend duties.
  • This role requires presence at our Care Coordination Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handles incoming calls with professionalism and effective communication skills, prioritizing based on urgency.
  • Alerts the relevant personnel of incoming calls promptly to ensure swift communication.
  • Records call details in the designated log efficiently, ensuring all team members have access to accurate patient information.
  • Exhibits a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor; demonstrates a strong customer service attitude that reflects the quality of Ohio's Hospice services in all interactions.
  • Engages in addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and bereavement needs of patients, assessing the effectiveness of care provided to ensure optimal outcomes for patients and their families.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills necessary for effective scheduling and communication.
  • Ability to drive safely in various conditions, including day and night.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Meets state minimum automobile insurance requirements.
