Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for obtaining referrals to meet census expectations in our Northern territories.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Healthcare or Business Administration and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in healthcare. You will have a proven track record of identifying and building local relationships, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of markets, including government agencies, major payer groups, and competitor's market positioning.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources and referral influencers in the community.
- Identify physician referral opportunities within the medical community through research and prospecting.
- Build and monitor community, customer, and patient perceptions of Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care as a high-quality provider of services.
- Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities within hospitals, ALFs, and SNFs.
- Support intake and admissions as needed, including consent signing for hospice and serious illness care.
- Utilize data to gain competitive information and monitor our referral, admission, market share, and re-hospitalization rates.
Requirements:
- Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in healthcare.
- Proven track record of identifying and building local relationships.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
