Position Overview
Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando Airport is on the lookout for a dedicated Guest Services Supervisor to lead our vibrant hotel team. Candidates should possess prior leadership experience in a hotel environment of similar scale, ideally within the Marriott brand. Leadership Responsibilities
This role involves direct or indirect supervision of team members and supervisors. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting interviews, hiring, and training new associates.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing daily operations.
  • Evaluating employee performance and implementing reward and disciplinary measures.
  • Addressing guest complaints and resolving issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities
As the Guest Services Supervisor, you will:
  • Ensure exceptional guest service by maintaining a well-organized Front Desk operation.
  • Create work schedules based on projected occupancy levels.
  • Oversee the daily functions of front desk, bell staff, and transportation personnel.
  • Utilize leadership skills to enhance employee productivity and satisfaction.
  • Exceed guest expectations through outstanding service and teamwork.
  • Manage staffing and payroll in alignment with productivity and budgetary guidelines.
  • Prepare payroll and schedules, monitoring actual payroll activities against the budget.
  • Work alongside front desk associates to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Coordinate Front Desk operations with other departments, including Housekeeping and Engineering.
  • Participate in daily yield management discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Gather and submit hotel news for internal newsletters.
  • Maintain inventory of front desk supplies and recommend purchases within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to understand all hotel operations.
  • Be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a college degree in Hotel Administration or a related field, along with 2-3 years of management or supervisory experience in the hospitality industry. Proficiency in English is required.
